About Me

Irma Martinez is considered the most renowned and respected Latina celebrity stylist in the US Hispanic and Latin American markets, named one of the top 75 influencers by PODER magazine and one of the 25 most powerful women by People en Español.

She began her career over 20 years ago, when the term stylist was not known in the Hispanic market, making her a pioneer in her field.  Today, she has an impressive portfolio that not only includes “big names” such as Sofía Vergara, Shakira, Ricky Martin, Enrique Iglesias, Daisy Fuentes, Pitbull, Thalía, Paulina, Lucero, Marc Anthony, Eva Longoria and Gloria Estefan, but also “big brands” such as Colgate, Ford, P&G, Got Milk, Pepsi and AT&T.

Irma is a constant presence on the top entertainment shows for US Hispanic networks as a fashion expert, as well as the chief stylist for the stars during the big shows including the Latin Grammy, Premios Lo Nuestro, Premios Juventud, Billboard Latin Music Awards, Nuestra Belleza Latina and Yo Soy el Artista.

Her track record and credibility have led her to be sought after by important brands looking to strategically position their message and products in the US Hispanic market. She participated in Target’s prestigious Dream in Color and Procter & Gamble’s Orgullosa campaigns, has been spokesperson for P&Gs “Try It, Love It” and Luxury retailer Birks & Mayor’s and was invited to take part of the “Got Milk” awareness campaign.

Most recently, Irma had the honor of being a speaker at P&G’s “Live Your Best Life” panel discussion that kicked-off Oprah’s “The Life You Want Weekend” in Miami.

Irma is also the founder and creative director of Trendy Inc., a company launched in 1996 specializing in lifestyle services for the entertainment and production industries, which includes Trendy Studio, a state-of-the-art photo production studio in Miami.

Irma was brought in by P&G to present the latest innovations of Pantene, Oral –B, Gillette Venus and MaxFactor during Colombiamoda 2014 (Fashion Week in Medellin, Colombia). During the event, Irma helped Colombian women experience first hand how they can look great in their day-to-day lives.

Tide & Downy Total Care

"We always talk about fashion but very little about how to care for garments that allow us to project an image of success through our look. We achieved this goal with the Tide and Downy Total Care campaign."
Through workshops and media tips, Irma shared with many women the secrets to creating a winning image by establishing their own style through a well-kept wardrobe based on their individual lifestyles.

Got Milk?

"I’ve participated in almost all the Got Milk ads in recent years, so when they called me to participate in a campaign to help encourage good nutrition in adolescents, being a mother as well as a stylist, I didn’t hesitate at all."
Irma was selected as the spokesperson of the Got Milk campaign and Seventeen magazine to choose "The Next 9 Milk-Mustache Stars" to promote an active and healthy lifestyle among teens.

Degree

"This campaign with Shaila Durcal was so real that it looked like a behind-the-scenes documentary... The approach was so creative and it was perfectly designed for the launch of a product that really got people talking."
When Degree was launching its new line of fragrances, Shaila Durcal and Irma participed in a series of ads showing her preparation for a red carpet event, thus presenting the fragrance as an essential element for the desired look.

Orgullosa for P&G

"I am proud of being a woman and being Latina, and this campaign from Procter & Gamble was an opportunity to communicate to other Latinas in the country that 'yes, you can'. Along with the other spokespersons for the campaign, I hope that our messages have an impact. I am grateful to P&G for this opportunity."
Through a video testimonial, Irma told her story of coming to America and becoming a successful professional, proving that she is "una mujer con la falda bien puesta”.

Procter & Gamble

"I had worked with P&G as a stylist but never as a spokesperson. The Have You Tried This Yet? campaign was an opportunity to communicate the entire innovation process that lies behind each of the brands, venturing into fields beyond fashion."
This campaign included a social media initiative through Irma’s Twitter account, as well as live events where people could interact with specialists in each brand.

Target
