Irma Martinez, founder and creative director of Trendy Inc., is the most renown and respected Latina stylist in the USA and Latin America. For her vision and accomplishments, she was named one of the 25 most powerful women by People en Español and one of the top 75 influencers by Poder magazine.
She began her career over 20 years ago when the term stylist was not even known in the Latin market, making her a pioneer in her field. During two decades, Irma has built an impressive portfolio that not only includes “big names” such as Sofía Vergara, Shakira, Ricky Martin, Enrique Iglesias, Daisy Fuentes, Pitbull, Thalía, Paulina Rubio, Lucero, Marc Anthony, Eva Longoria and Gloria Estefan, but also “big brands” such as Colgate, Ford, P&G, Got Milk, Pepsi and AT&T. She is a constant presence on the top entertainment shows for US Hispanic networks as a fashion expert. In addition, Irma is the chief stylist for the stars during high rated broadcast shows such as Latin Grammy, Premios Lo Nuestro, Premios Juventud, Billboard Latin Music Awards and Nuestra Belleza Latina and the upcoming Simon Cowell project La Banda.
For her track record and credibility, important brands looking to strategically position their message and products in the US Hispanic and Latin American markets have approached her to create powerful collaborations. She has participated in Target’s “Dream in Color”, Procter & Gamble’s “Orgullosa” and “Make a Power Move” campaigns and “Got Milk” awareness efforts. She has been spokesperson for P&G’s “Try It, Love It” and luxury retailer Birks & Mayor’s. In 2014, Irma had the honor of being a speaker at P&G’s “Live Your Best Life” panel discussion that kicked-off Oprah’s “The Life You Want Weekend” in Miami. Recently, she was named brand ambassador of Transition Lenses and Head and Shoulders.
Looking to inspire young stylists, fashion aficionados and everyday women, Irma just finished the manuscript of her first book about her success as professional and entrepreneur.
